Concur Integration For Accounting Seed

This post was originally published by Tony Zork, CEO of Accounting Seed

Concur has a robust expense reporting tool that seamlessly takes you from receipt to reimbursement. Wouldn’t it be perfect if you were able to link this information directly into your back office accounting program to better control cash flow and run analytics? Thanks to Actus Data this is now a reality.

Actus Data is a data analytics solutions company that comes up with innovative ideas to help their clients to make the most of their current cloud applications and transform data into action. They have designed an automatic integration between Accounting Seed and Concur expense reports that allows data to be quickly and easily transferred directly from the Concur expense report into your Accounting Seed instance where you are able to pay employees and bill expenses to customers. You can also push data from Accounting Seed directly back into Concur! This integration saves you hours of manual data entry and data reconciliation.

Enterprise Class: Separating False Perceptions from Reality

When you hear the term “enterprise class,” what comes to mind? At Actus Data, we think immediately of our Smart Enterprise Engine.

A quick search of the web will yield several definitions of the term, but we identify most with the explanation given by Techopedia:

”Enterprise class is a buzzword that refers to applications that are designed to be robust and scalable across a large organization. There are no firm standards for what makes an application or platform enterprise class, but enterprise class applications are generally:

  • Open and compatible with existing databases and tools

  • Customizable for the needs of specific departments

  • Powerful enough to scale up along with the needs of the business using it

  • Secure from outside threats and data leaks

But enterprise class is so much more than a buzzword – in fact, it is something that most companies want and are unable to get. What are they getting instead? Technopedia continues:

Enterprise class is not an official certification given to software suites that pass specific tests. Instead, it is a marketing term that suggests that an application or platform is reliable and powerful enough to serve as a one-stop solution for companies of any size. As such, claims that a software package is enterprise class should be approached with some skepticism.”

There are many products out there that falsely claim enterprise class status without actually being up to the task; it is for good reason, then, that such claims are often met with a healthy dose of skepticism. Here are the two of the most common enterprise class-related storylines that regularly mislead customers:

“We have changed”

There is a long list of companies, large and small, that have transitioned applications from the desktop or server room to the cloud and then labeled themselves as enterprise class. These incremental changes don’t come close to the complete redesign and rebuild that would ordinarily be required to live up to this name. It should come as no surprise that this is not what tends to happen. Customers are all too often left with a warmed-over version of the old product that is ripe with limitations.

“This is not what it looks like”

The practice of falsely claiming enterprise class status goes in the other direction as well – many applications that stay on the desktop claim this degree of functionality, too. This story typically entails enticing you to buy powerful enough equipment, have a fat enough pipe, and employee enough IT resources to help their software perform. Building this sort of intricate system, however, is neither easy nor cheap. Even worse, these tools typically depend on external systems for their enterprise-like functionality; furthermore, while the external systems might end up qualifying as enterprise class, you have invested a great deal more than necessary and are still dependent on software designed for individual use.

When it comes to enterprise class, it’s important to recognize that you must weed out these false perceptions from reality. The good news is that there are providers that deliver on the enterprise class promise. Take Actus Data, for example: our team has built analytics platforms and technology systems on a global scale for some of the largest companies in the world. We used this real-world experience to build our Smart Enterprise Engine.

We design our powerful and flexible products from the ground up to ensure the delivery of genuine enterprise class solutions for all your business analytics challenges – truly making us your business analytics partner.
